POC: Making Installations Easier! Power over Coaxial (PoC) refers to an installation method in which power for cameras is supplied directly from your DVR via coaxial video cable (RG59 or similar), eliminating the need for separate power supplies or cables which would normally be required to power cameras. Installers benefit from PoC as it makes the process both faster and less expensive.
PoC can be installed over cable runs up to 200 metres long and comes in 4-channel DVR models (with E suffix), offering cost-effective and time saving solutions for TVI installations.
NOTE: Please be aware that PoC cameras can work on non PoC recorders as well. 1. PoC capable TVI cameras can be powered locally using their own power supply, enabling them to work on non-PoC compatible DVRs; and (2) none-PoC TVI cameras may work when powered locally from an independent power source as long as PoC is supported on both ends of the connection chain (in this instance both power supplies need to be accessible by both ends).
PoC transmission typically utilizes coaxial cable such as RG59 for transmission, however our HAY-HDVB01POC-PT allows even greater installation flexibility by supporting transmission over CAT5.
